Hi, I’m Tatjana Milosevic

If you are looking for a new job and not getting anywhere, or want to prepare for an upcoming interview; or perhaps you are feeling stuck in your current job/career and don’t know what to do next; or maybe you are feeling low, anxious or depressed and your mental health is impacted as a result- I may be able to help!

With over a decade of experience in the HR and Recruitment field, I can show you how things work (or don’t) behind the curtains, and help you prepare for your next move in life. I can help you to think like a recruiter! I also provide career and mental health counselling. I am a Master’s degree qualified Mental Health Counsellor and am registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

Looking for a job is stressful, frustrating and often even heart-breaking experience. It can impact our mental health, cause anxiety and even depression. The fact is that we will not get over 90% of the jobs we apply for. So, what are we supposed to do with this disheartening information? That’s where I can help. You only need ONE yes. And there is a lot of preparation behind the scenes that will help you get that one offer. Or if you’re lucky-a couple. I can also help you navigate your mindset about the 90% of the No’s you will get as well; and why having a strong, healthy mindset is very important to begin with, for that one YES that awaits.

For over a decade, my day-to-day job has been looking over 100 CV’s a day. My math is not the strongest skill, but the number should be close to half a million of CV’s. Or more. I can show you how to think like a recruiter!

My approach to reviewing your CV/current job situation is always tailored to your personal circumstances and will meet you where you are at in your current phase of life. Knowing the job market and how recruiters recruit; I will provide you with an honest and realistic overview of what you may need to do/think about. I offer various services to job seekers from entry level to professional level, to prepare you for your next job.

With extensive experience in HR and Recruitment and having changed careers myself, I know firsthand how challenging and frustrating this experience can be, and I can help you navigate this phase of your life, if this is something you are looking to explore.

If for some reason I establish that I cannot assist you, I will advise you of this in advance and/or refer you to other providers. For me, it’s very important that you are comfortable and confident as you embark with your next steps or chapter in your life.

Career Counselling

I did not always work in the HR field. After completing my Bachelor of International Development degree, my naive young self, believed I could ‘save’ the world from poverty and hunger and I worked for various NGOs here in Australia and around the world, including Bosnia and Herzegovina and Egypt. After few years though, I found myself unhappy and pretty soon I discovered I could not carry the weight of the world on my shoulders for too long. I felt stuck and wanted to find something else. Except, I did not know what that “else” was. I even developed anxiety as I kept applying for 100’s of jobs with no success, and I was angry with the world and myself. I felt like I was running in circles, running away from myself, only to find, well, my same old self in the same spot.

So, I enrolled in an Executive Master of Arts (Leadership & Human Resource Management) degree at Melbourne University and that’s how I found about the HR field, which before I only thought of as ‘people who approve my leave and process payroll’. Little did I know, it will become a field that I actually enjoy and am proud to be a part of.

I also soon discovered my passion for helping people find their own purpose and help them with their mental health, especially those who have been impacted with the consequences of job search; and I did another Master degree in Counselling from Monash University (yes, I love studying) and am registered Mental Health Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
